When it comes to Thanksgiving, nothing beats a fiery family table full of laughter, conversation and all the trimmings you can stuff into your Thursday Best. If the holiday this year finds you in search of an alternative to whipping up Martha’s mashed potatoes and a side of Turkey then take a look at some of the local restaurant offerings available to you and yours.
121 Restaurant in North Salem is always a good place to find a hearty and delicious meal. The staff is always friendly and the drinks aplenty. This year’s Thanksgiving menu offered from 12-8pm brings all of the traditional tastes. Pecan Pie and Warm Chocolate Brownies accompany the Pumpkin Pie on the dessert selections.
Looking for something a bit more modern, then you can’t beat the Moderne Grill in Armonk. Available 12pm to 8pm, their pre-fix menus for adults and children offer plenty to crave. An assortment of soups, appetizers, and desserts compliment the hero entrees. Gluten free options are always available and if you ask nicely they will accommodate the vegan in your party.
Yorktown Heights Peter Pratt’s Inn is the place to be if you fancy a cozy dinner in a 260 year old converted barn. Their farm-to-table offerings are always a delight and the atmosphere adds to its delicate charm.
Not to be outdone, The Inn at Pound Ridge by jean georges is offering a robust menu this year. The Inn never waivers in its dining experience.
The food is always delicious, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting (up or down). We always enjoy our visits and conversations over apps and festive drinks.
If you are looking for a quaint spot offering traditional Iberian fare & tapas paired with Spanish wines & sangria then La Camelia is available this Thanksgiving from 12p – 6p.
Lastly, we have to mention the always reliable, always inventive Mt. Kisco Diner. We aren’t sure if they ever close but it goes without saying that if you are looking for a familiar place to gather suitable for friends and family then look no further. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy are always on the menu and who wouldn’t want an Oreo’s Smore or Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milkshake.
