Il Forno Italian Kitchen & Bar provides an exceptional blend of spirited cooking and gracious hospitality with true Italian vigor and charm.
Opened in 1995 after undergoing a multi-year building restoration project, the restored colonial-style building dates back to the early 1900s and is located in the Somers Historical District. Inspired by the historical past of the building, the newly designed interior features a modern farmhouse style. From the open feel, twenty-two foot dine at bar, to the restored brick walls, chestnut wood floors, and open front, the eatery offers a warm, energetic, and welcoming atmosphere for dining and social events.
With an emphasis on local ingredients and hospitality, the kitchen’s philosophy of adapting dishes to use the only freshest local ingredients available ensures the guests a wonderfully satisfying farm to fork experience. The menu features an extensive selection of pasta made on the premises daily, grilled fish, classic entrees, and meats. The hand-built brick oven produces iconic New York thin crust pizza. For lighter fare, meal-sized salads, fresh soups, and gourmet sandwiches are also available. Our full bar focuses on regional craft beers, reasonably priced old and new world wines, and specialty cocktails inspired by classic Italian and American spirits. But don’t forget, always leave room for the tempting selection of homemade desserts, gelato, and biscotti.
Il Forno also offers complete off-site catering for large and small groups, from individual catered trays to complete event planning. For on-site events, our main dining area accommodates up to 50 guests.
Il Forno is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Reservations are accepted for lunch and select holidays.
